Indoor Bulb Planting

So you want to grow a bulb or two? You’d better hurry before bulbs are outlawed. That’s right, the regulation has been set by the federal government to prohibit traditional light bulbs in stores, the ones that are so similar to Edison’s 1879 invention. Yes, I know it’s not the same thing as living breathing plant bulbs, but this artificial one is key to point out — and often an issue that effects indoor plant growing.

In mid-December 2011, the Republicans in Congress tried to save the light bulb by including a provision within a larger bill to remove funding for the enforcement of the light bulb ban* — because, no joke, having federal agencies monitoring light bulb sales costs millions on millions of dollars. The flaw with this cost-saving measure has become apparent: indeed, other federal agencies are more than happy to allocate gobs of taxpayer dollars towards enforcing the light bulb ban and force all to use the new energy-efficient yet highly environmentally hazardous light tubes. Humor: Hard Cider

Today, cider gets a bad wrap. Two full-on wars, the great war between cider and wine along with the hundreds year war between cider and beer. The rivalries run deep and long.

Yet, all three — wine, beer, and cider — are considered sins to many religious intemperance groups. All three were even Constitutionally outlawed during the Prohibition. Certainly nowadays there are plenty of other more unacceptable vices which allows a good portion of America to, thankfully and at last, imbibe without scorn.
